Pewter (95%) trincket bowl depicting a young woman with a mirror seated next to a peacock. The mirror naturally evokes Aphrodite while the peacock, if it evokes Hera, is more here a symbol of immortality. One could read there the hope of this young girl to believe her immortal beauty. The plumage of the peacock forms the pocket itself. The whole, very elegant, is in perfect condition.
