Vase in opaline « pâte de riz », 19th Century
Nineteenth-century historicism produced a number of discreet but absolutely charming objects. This opaline vase is certainly the example. On its rice paste coloured body have been painted abstract red and gold decorations, certainly a tribute to the Troubadour style. This small vase in perfect condition is a lovely collector’s item.
