Athena Fountain, 19th Century
This important gilded bronze fountain rests on a marble column base. Overlooking a scalloped basin, the goddess Athena in arms dominates two shells into which the water from the mouths of two mascarons flows. Below, two other mascarons and two Medusa do the same. The set in perfect working order presents, once started, a play of water characteristic of the Baroque taste.
This large fountain will suit a living room, an entrance hall or even a winter garden.
