Thermo-Moulded Design Living Room Set, 1970s

Following the first steps of man on the Moon, a craze for space futurism took hold of design. This red thermo-moulded living room adopts round shapes, which are also those of rockets imagined for the future. The aluminum feet follow the lines of the feet stabilizing the Apollo 11 capsule which made its first moon landing in 1969. The set bears some traces of use – no doubt attributable to space travel! – but in very good general condition.
