Small Sideboard from the 1920s
The top inlaid with cubes playing on contrasts to create 3D effects and the delightful floral marquetry on the doors place this sideboard in the early years of Art Deco. Before the famous 1925 Exhibition, this new style began to express itself by borrowing from the purity of the Empire style as well as the charming ornaments of the Louis XVI style.
Opening with two doors, this sideboard in excellent condition is a piece of art in itself and will find its place in reception rooms as well as in the privacy of a bedroom.
