Pair of soapstone stamps, China late 19th, early 20th century
Of Chinese origin, these very beautiful grey and red soapstone pills are reminiscent of the fine Quianlong pills regularly carved from the same mineral. The latter seems to have been much appreciated at the turn of the 20th century, dating corresponding to this pair of ancient Chinese seals.
