Art Nouveau Tray Signed Émile Gallé, 20th Century
Emblematic signature of Art Nouveau alongside Majorelle, the productions of Émile Gallé (1846 – 1904) are also sought after in glass, ceramics and inlaid wood. After having proven himself in glassmaking and ceramics, Gallé opened a cabinetmaking workshop in 1884 which produced both furniture and decorative art objects, such as this tray. The signature of the plate is used by the Gallé workshops between 1928 and 1936. Perfect condition.
