Ornithological Showcase or Naturalist Showcase with Birds, 20th Century

Many of the naturalist showcases present only a few species wisely arranged in such a way as to appreciate all the characteristics of their physiognomy. Rarer are those where one admires the colorful plumages, the textures and shapes, the usual attitudes of each species. Our ornithological showcase is of this second category.
It is an abundance of feathers and colorful beaks, a composition worthy of an animal painting. It seems obvious that the author of this showcase knew how to admire winged creatures and wanted to render as realistically as possible what fascinated him and what he could observe in nature.

This large display case is in very good condition but we draw your attention to its fragility. The birds and the old glass behind which they are presented will require either delivery by us or a very careful shipment by a specialized carrier. No request for sending by ordinary parcel will be considered.
