Louis XIII two-piece, 17th century
Elegant piece of medieval french furniture, the sideboard was still a must-have under the reign of Louis XIII. Ours is narrow and discreet, all walnut and blackened wood. Both the upper and lower parts are equipped with a beautifully carved door with diamond-shaped motifs, opening and closing with a key. The ironwork itself is neat and the two lock entrances are finely chiselled.
Each corner of the front of this dresser is highlighted by a detached torso column. The corners of the belt opening with a drawer are decorated with carved urns. Very good condition.
