Scene of the daily life of the countryside, this well-stocked basket comes back from the garden. We recognize summer vegetables: tomatoes, eggplants, onions and potatoes. Next to it, a small pitcher, whose refreshing content must have been welcome at the time. If we guess the reference to the manner of Cézanne, we will recognize all the same in this painter – whose signature is illegible – a brushstroke of his own. Soberly framed in a black, this oil on canvas is in very good condition.
