Processional Staff, 17th Century
If time has done its work, this object still retains all its aura. Topped with a carved and gilded wooden figure of the Virgin Mary, this processional staff was in fact used during processions and pilgrimages associated with Catholic worship. When the liturgical calendar did not require it, it was kept in the religious building to which it belonged unless it was the property of a religious brotherhood or a trade guild.
A few missing pieces are to be noted but in good general condition considering the age of the object.
