Oil on Panel Signed Jacques Van den Bussche (1925 – 2001)

This painter born in Marseille retained throughout his life a taste for expressionism, the touch of which we find in this seascape painted on panel. The two boats seem to be returning from sea around noon, judging by the clarity of the sky. Two people are busy on the boat closest to the pontoon while we can see a figure on the second boat who seems to be waiting. The painter’s touch is thick, generous and is expressed admirably in the reflections of the hulls on the water, its transparency and its movement. This oil signed Jacques Van den Bussche is framed and in perfect condition.
