Neoclassical Bench, 19th Century
Slender and sculpted, this small bench is a beautiful example of the neoclassical motifs dear to the Louis XVI style and the Empire. In beech, the uprights and armrests in turned wood are finely carved with acanthus leaves and rest on connecting dice decorated with flowers. The belt is carved with laurel twists and the tapered legs are fluted. The mustard upholstery as well as the frame are in very good condition.
