Mid Century Rosewood Chest of Drawers, 1950s

Small and light, its barely tarred feet and the magnified grain of its wood are reminiscent of the work of Paul Follot. The molding of the top and this slight movement of the belt recall the distant Louis XVI style whose sobriety inspired the moderns, from Art Deco to those of the mid-century. Three drawers with square pull handles animate the front of this charming mid-century chest of drawers in perfect condition.
