Louis XVI Style Trompe-l’Oeil Chest of Drawers, 19th Century
A delightful Louis XVI style painted chest of drawers with a trompe-l’oeil wooden top. Instead of a Sainte-Anne grey marble top, this small neoclassical piece of furniture has a wooden top painted in imitation of marble. For the body, nothing but classic: fluted uprights, three drawers decorated with rosettes and pretty spinning top feet punctuated by fluted patterns and water leaves. The whole is in very good condition. The sculpture is in very good condition.
