Double Unguentarium, 1st Century AD

A highly popular object in ancient Roman culture, dating from as early as the 2nd century BC, this piece is crafted from bluish glass and adorned with a spiral thread; it consists of two chambers joined by a handle. Known as an *unguentarium*, this type of vessel was used—as the name suggests—to store cosmetics (such as makeup, oils, or balms/perfumes).

While most examples feature only a single chamber, this particular piece allows for the transport of two separate products—whether complementary or otherwise—keeping them conveniently at hand. Like all genuine ancient glassware, this piece displays a beautiful iridescence, which serves as a testament to its authenticity. In very good condition.
