Bronze of a Musician Putto, Auguste Moreau (1834 – 1917)

Striking his cymbals rhythmically and shaking what appears to be a maraca, this putto cheerfully participates in a lively fanfare. For if he is here alone, he is usually accompanied by a second putto blowing a trumpet. Here, the fine carving is highlighted by a delicate patina and a cherry marble base. The sculpture is in very good condition.
