Bronze and Jade Pocket Tray, 19th Century

A charming decorative object, souvenir of a hunting passion or illustration of a bird particularly appreciated in Chinese culture, this jade trinket presents two pretty bronze animal sculptures, in the Vienna bronze style. Pheasant and hen pheasant occupy the jade edges as if the object were an element of their natural decor. The sculpture is in very good condition.
