Bowl in Cut Crystal and Gilded Bronze, 19th Century

This superb cut crystal bowl in the manner of the wave gives life and movement to these swans in gilded bronze which seem to fly away from the surface of the water where they were posed. Beneath the undulating surface, a chiseled gilt bronze tripod foot evokes the creatures that hide underwater: dolphins or sea monsters, these creatures with their bodies covered with scales support the weight of the water with their tails. The set is in perfect condition.
