Art Deco Sideboard with the Allegory of the Four Seasons, 20th Century
Fond of revisiting the classic taste of the turn of the 19th century, the Art Deco style borrows from the neoclassicism of the Louis XVI and Empire styles and returns to timeless motifs such as those of the seasons. Here, each terracotta modeled in low relief by the artist JACZ – whose name can be read in the signature – represents an allegory. Interpreted in a modern way, they are each remarkably original, particularly that of summer. Note on this piece of furniture, in very good general condition, a chip on the top, on the left.
