Charles X Daybed in Speckled Maple, 19th Century

Charles X furniture is singular in that it prefers a palette of clear essences which is also what makes it so elegant. This small daybed in speckled maple is made of simple lines and a few inlaid patterns in a darker tone. The winding feet in the shape of dolphins characteristic of the classic style of the Ancien Régime. The original small casters make the set easier to move. The almond green upholstery is in very good condition, as are the cushions and trimmings that decorate them.
