Writing Cabinet in Cuban Mahogany. Bordeaux, France, Late 18th century / Early 19th century
Classic furniture characteristic of the city of Bordeaux, the mahogany scriban is a staple of the bourgeois interior. Here, the refinement extends to the choice of flecked mahogany, from Cuba, and an elegant green leather marked with a small iron to cover the writing surface. The set is in very good condition and offers numerous drawers, 6 inside the cabinet as well as a space dedicated to the inkwell, and three other drawers under the writing surface.
