Bone and Tortoiseshell Cabinet, Flanders, 17th Century<\/p>\n

In the 17th century, the split between the Spanish Netherlands and the United Provinces led to a profound cultural upheaval. This cabinet thus bears Spanish inspiration in the bone plaques engraved with interlacing, but the geometric projections already assert a Flemish taste. It features six drawers on the front and a central door revealing four inlaid drawers. The back of the door is inlaid with the same geometric pattern as the sides of the cabinet. <\/p>\n

The cabinet rests on flattened ball feet and is in perfect condition.<\/p>\n
