We do not know of course at what precise place on the docks of the Gironde it would have taken place. Nevertheless, one naturally thinks of the Place de la Bourse, whose current appearance is due to the famous architects Gabriel, father (Jacques) and son (Ange-Jacques) who worked there between 1730 and 1752.<br \/>\nPerhaps our chisel print bears witness to the other projects proposed at the time to redesign this essential place in Bordeaux?<br \/>\nIn this case, it would only be the memory or the resumption of one of these projects since the engraver Fran\u00e7ois-Denis N\u00e9e (1732 &#8211; 1817) was only 2 years old when the work began and had not yet been born when the projects were offered.<\/p>\n<p>Our proof, interesting in many respects, is in good general condition.
